Change Emoji Styles in Delta YOWA for iOS or Samsung

Delta YOWA gives Android users access to alternative emoji fonts, including designs associated with iPhone Messages and Samsung One UI. This lets you personalise group chats without replacing the entire messaging interface or installing a separate emoji keyboard.

An iOS-style pack offers a familiar Apple appearance, while the Samsung option suits users accustomed to Galaxy phones. Neither option changes your contacts, stickers, custom GIFs, or the platform restrictions that apply to the modified app itself.

Menu names and features can differ between Delta YOWA releases. The setting is usually easy to find, but older builds may require an update before their emoji controls work correctly.

Find the emoji style control

Open Delta YOWA and tap Settings. In most current YOWA-based builds, look for Themes, Appearance, or a setting called Emoji style. If the menu is crowded, use the settings search function and search for “emoji”.

The common route is Settings > Themes > Emoji style, although some releases place it under Settings > Appearance. A few versions call the choice Emoji font instead. The broader YoWA theme controls explain how theme, font, and appearance settings relate across YOWA variants.

Before changing anything, note the Delta YOWA version currently installed on your phone. That information makes it easier to match the available options with the correct release and troubleshoot any missing menu.

Switch to iOS or Samsung

To apply the iOS design, open the emoji selection menu, choose iOS, and confirm the choice. Samsung users can select Samsung in the same place. Force-close Delta YOWA and reopen it, then test standard emoji inside a chat; some older builds refresh the font only after the app restarts.

The selection changes emoji supplied by Delta YOWA itself. It does not replace stickers, animated emoji packs, custom GIF files, or the emoji keyboard used in other apps. Android’s system-wide emoji setting may also remain unchanged, particularly on phones where One UI controls the default font.

If no emoji selector appears, update Delta YOWA from a trusted release source rather than installing a random APK. General app customisation guidance can also help distinguish an appearance control from a deeper application setting.

Check the switch before and after

A clean test separates an actual font change from a caching problem. Use a private chat or a group where you can safely compare the appearance without sending confidential material.

Before you switch

  • Record the installed Delta YOWA version.
  • Open a recent chat containing emoji.
  • Check that mobile data or Wi-Fi is available.
  • Avoid changing themes at the same time.

After you switch

  • Close and reopen Delta YOWA.
  • Compare emoji in a new message.
  • Test both a chat bubble and a system message.
  • Restart the phone if the font remains unchanged.

The goal is to change one component while preserving everything around it. A mixologist follows the same principle when adjusting mixing ingredients for spring: a small substitution can refresh the result without rebuilding the entire drink.

Account for Australian phones and networks

Samsung Galaxy devices are a familiar part of Australia’s Android market, and many households use them alongside iPhones. Choosing the Samsung emoji pack therefore feels natural on a Galaxy, while the iOS design can help users accustomed to Apple Messages. Delta YOWA remains an Android application and cannot be installed on an iPhone.

In Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other growing cities, family and work chats are often checked during commutes on Telstra, Optus, or Vodafone mobile data. Downloading updated emoji assets over Wi-Fi can avoid unnecessary data usage, especially when a group contains many high-resolution GIFs and images.

Connectivity can also vary outside major metropolitan areas, including regional areas around Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, and rural Australia. Delta YOWA updates and bundled assets are safest to download over a stable home connection rather than through a metered mobile plan.

Australian privacy and consumer laws add another layer of care. The Privacy Act 1988 governs how many organisations handle personal information, while the Spam Act 2003 restricts unsolicited commercial messages. The ACCC also warns consumers about misleading security claims, so verify a release before sending an APK link to friends or colleagues.

Compare the styles and finish the switch

Both choices alter appearance rather than functionality. The iOS pack is generally best for people who regularly exchange emoji with iPhone users, while Samsung’s design integrates more naturally with One UI. Either can work on other Android phones when the relevant assets are included.

A side-by-side view clarifies the practical differences:

Feature iOS-style emoji Samsung-style emoji
Appearance Familiar rounded iPhone-inspired design Clean Samsung One UI design
Best fit Users accustomed to Apple Messages Samsung Galaxy and One UI users
Availability Depends on the Delta YOWA release Depends on the Delta YOWA release
Data usage Initial asset download may use data Initial asset download may use data
Main limitation Does not alter stickers or custom GIFs Does not alter stickers or custom GIFs

Choose based on the style you already recognise or the one that matches your daily phone. If both look similar, compare them on a large screen and in a busy group chat, where differences become easier to notice.

Check the publication’s about WhatsAppMods page for its update process, install the current Delta YOWA release, and select your preferred emoji pack. Open Delta YOWA now, restart it, and test the new style in a family or work group chat today.
