Enable Anti-Delete Messages in GBWhatsApp Across Every Chat

Deleted messages can interrupt the flow of a conversation, especially when an important detail disappears from an individual chat or a busy group. GBWhatsApp includes privacy controls designed to preserve certain messages after the sender uses WhatsApp’s “Delete for Everyone” option.

The anti-delete feature is useful for Android users who want a continuous record of conversations. However, the exact menu names can differ between GBWhatsApp builds, so the instructions below cover the most common layouts and explain how to check the setting in every relevant chat type.

Before changing anything, make sure GBWhatsApp is installed from a source you trust and that your conversations are backed up. Modified APKs are unofficial applications, and their privacy, security, and compatibility can vary from one release to another.

What Anti-Delete Messages Actually Does

When enabled, Anti-Delete Messages generally prevents incoming text messages from disappearing from your device after the sender deletes them. Instead of seeing only “This message was deleted,” you may continue to see the original content in the conversation.

The control usually affects messages received after activation. It does not reliably restore content that was deleted before the feature was turned on, and it cannot recover media that was never downloaded or has already been removed from local storage.

GBWhatsApp may offer separate controls for deleted messages and deleted status updates. If you want broader coverage, inspect both privacy and status-related settings rather than assuming a single switch applies everywhere.

Prepare GBWhatsApp Before Changing Privacy Settings

Open GBWhatsApp and allow it to finish loading your existing chats. If the app recently updated, restart it once so that its customized settings panel loads correctly. A current backup is helpful if a setting change causes a crash or if the APK needs to be reinstalled.

Users who keep several WhatsApp accounts on one phone should identify the correct package before changing settings. A guide to using multiple WhatsApp accounts can help distinguish separate installations and avoid editing the wrong profile.

Check that notifications are working as well. Anti-delete tools depend on the app receiving the message, and aggressive battery optimization may delay or block background activity. Exclude GBWhatsApp from battery restrictions if incoming messages regularly arrive late.

Turn On The Main Anti-Delete Option

From the GBWhatsApp home screen, tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner. Select GB Settings, then open Privacy and Security. In some versions, the same controls appear under Privacy, Chats, or a section named Mods.

Look for Anti-Delete Messages, Prevent Revoke, or a similar label. Turn the switch on, then close and reopen the application. Restarting is not always required, but it helps the modified interface apply the change cleanly.

Send a test message from another WhatsApp account and delete it for everyone. If the original message remains visible in GBWhatsApp, the primary setting is active. Test with a text message first because media behavior depends on download settings and storage permissions.

Apply The Setting To Individual And Group Chats

A global anti-delete switch usually covers both one-to-one conversations and group chats, but some builds include chat-specific privacy controls. Open an individual conversation, tap the contact’s name, and inspect its privacy or customization options for a separate revoke-prevention setting.

Repeat the check inside a group conversation by tapping the group name. Group administrators do not need to enable the feature for everyone; the setting normally works on the participant’s own device. It also does not stop other members from deleting messages on their phones.

Use this quick checklist when testing coverage:

  • Send and revoke a message in an individual chat.
  • Send and revoke a message in a group where you are a regular member.
  • Test a message from a contact who uses official WhatsApp.
  • Test a message containing an image or document after it has downloaded.
  • Check whether a deleted status remains visible when status protection is enabled.
Chat or content type Setting to check Expected result
Individual text chat Anti-Delete Messages Incoming revoked text may remain
Group text chat Global or group privacy control Deleted incoming text may remain
Photos and videos Anti-delete plus auto-download File may remain only if downloaded
Voice messages Anti-delete plus media storage Audio may remain if received locally
Status updates Anti-Delete Status, if available Deleted status may stay visible temporarily

Cover Media, Statuses, And New Messages

Text protection is usually the most dependable part of the feature. Photos, videos, documents, and voice notes require additional conditions: the file must have reached the device, storage permission must be available, and the GBWhatsApp build must support that media type.

Open GB Settings and search for options such as Anti-Delete Status, Status Privacy, or Keep Deleted Status. Enable the relevant control if you want protection beyond normal chats. Some releases separate status privacy from message privacy, while others omit the option completely.

Remember that anti-delete functionality is local. It preserves what your installation received; it does not restore messages from the sender’s phone or alter the official WhatsApp server. A message that never arrived because the phone was offline may not be recoverable after deletion.

Troubleshoot When Deleted Messages Still Disappear

If the feature appears inactive, first confirm that the switch is still enabled after restarting the app. Then update to a compatible GBWhatsApp release or reinstall the same package only after creating a backup. Conflicting older settings can sometimes prevent a new privacy control from working.

Check notification access, background data, storage permission, and battery restrictions. Clear only the app cache, not its data, unless you have a verified backup. Also avoid running several modified WhatsApp packages with overlapping notification or storage controls, since they can interfere with one another.

Version history matters because privacy features change between releases. Earlier modified clients, including WhatsApp Plus v1.17, used different menus and protections, so instructions from an older mod may not match current GBWhatsApp screens.

Use The Feature With Privacy In Mind

Anti-delete messages can preserve useful information, but they also change how deletion works in a conversation. Someone may remove a message because it contains an error, private data, or content they no longer want circulated. Keeping a local copy should be handled responsibly, particularly in groups.

Modified WhatsApp applications may expose extra permissions, show intrusive advertisements, or stop working after official WhatsApp changes. Review the information provided by the publisher and the site’s about page before installing an unfamiliar build, and avoid APK files shared through suspicious pop-ups or shortened links.

Enable the setting only when its purpose is clear, test it with harmless messages, and keep regular backups. Once the individual, group, media, and status checks work as expected, GBWhatsApp should preserve eligible incoming deleted content according to the limits of your installed version.

Download a trusted compatible build, follow the privacy menu carefully, and test Anti-Delete Messages across each chat type you use. Recheck the option after every update so that a changed menu or reset preference does not silently remove the protection.
